Every women wants that special glow on her face 24 x 7, isn’t it? Well, yes we agree that a facial or pregnancy or even love can do the trick, but only temporarily. For a more lasting effect, all you need is a little TLC, we mean tender, love and care and off course, a regular skin care routine. Even if you can spare 10 – 15 minutes for your skin every day out of your busy schedule, you’ll see all the difference, trust us! Here’s how to get started…

Sunscreen
Do you have any idea how important is sunscreen for our skin care regime? If you’ve never taken this seriously, we suggest you start applying sunscreen every day after a shower. Never step out without it. If you’re more on field work, we recommend, you reapply it every three to four hours in the sun.

Exposure to rays is the biggest cause of dry and wrinkled skin. Use a sunscreen with SPF 15 if you have a deck job. Those with field jobs should use once with SPF 30+. In fact, these days many moistures and foundations are available with sun protection. You can apply sunscreen lotion onto your lips too.

Cleansing
Your next step is to cleanse your skin as soon as you return home from work. Your cleanser should be in the form of a water soluble cream or gel. If you apply moisturiser before going to bed, you’ll need to cleanse your face in the morning too. Just splash your face with some warm water. Take cleanser and apply it in a circular motion, then rinse with cool water. If you have excessive oily skin, use PH- balanced soap.

Toning
Your next ritual is toning. This is meant to remove all traces of grease, make up and dirt from your face. There are some excellent cleansers that can also do this job. If your skin is really sensitive, you can mash strawberries, apply it on your face and leave it on for about five minutes. Then rinse with cool water.

Moisturising
This is the most important step to follow before you hit the bed. Moisturising your skin everyday will help you keep your skin healthy and well nourished. This step is all the more important for you if you suffer from acne. Make sure you don’t just moisturise your face but also your hands and legs.
