Teenage Skin Care
Very few people have absolutely clear skin. Most people suffer from some skin irritation at some time in their lives. Most skin problems start in your teens, so try and take good care of your skin right from a very young age. Teenagers suffer from acne and pimples due to the various hormonal changes that take place in the body.
If you are beginning to suffer from acne, then, rather than resort to skin treatments try and clean your system first.
Drink plenty of liquids and alter your diet. Avoid starting medication at a young age. Drink a minimum of 10 glasses of water daily and totally avoid tea, coffee and aerated beverages. Take a laxative twice a month to clean your system. Eating fruits like papaya will also help clean your system and you will see your complexion clearing after a few weeks.
Avoid the use of ointments and try all natural remedies first. Never prick the acne as it will only leave a scar. Try and keep yourself stress free at all times. Try all possible home remedies before you decide to visit a dermatologist. Since most teenagers are very conscious of their appearance they will want quick results.
Once you reach your teens you must start using gentle cleansers and toners to prevent pimples and acne from appearing. Wash your face with cold water and use a soap that contains a moisturiser. Since you are experiencing changes in your skin and body, now is a good time to invest in a good sun screen. Avoid going for facials and also do not wax your facial hair as this could also lead to pimples if you have sensitive skin.
One of the main causes of acne is improper skin care. Hot and humid climate also result in acne. Avoid the use of make up in your early teens, due to your hormonal changes as these can only damage your skin. Caring for your skin from an early age will keep your skin healthy and glowing all the time. Exercise regularly and get plenty of fresh air. This will also help to improve your blood circulation and keep your skin clear and radiant.
