Rosacea is a common vascular problem that affects the skin and the eyes of the individual. Even if it starts very mildly, these symptoms become very severe as the days pass.

When the stage becomes more intense, the broken blood vessels become visible to the naked eye. Once the first stage is crossed, the inflammation intensifies and this causes redness, burning sensation and swelling.

It is these common symptoms that help the doctor diagnosis the disease. There is no single test that can confirm the disease. Rosacea develops different symptoms depending on the condition of the patients.

Some of the common rosacea symptoms are flushing, blushing, redness and rashes. These occur all over the face and they can become worse also. The patients also develop burning and stinging sensations.

Pustules and papules also occur in some cases. These will certainly affect the skin and result in dry skin. Another common symptom of rosacea is the visible red lines.

These are called telangiectatis and this is caused because of the damaged blood vessels. In more than half of the cases, Ocular symptoms are also seen. This leads to red or sore eyelids.

All these symptoms worsen due to sun light. The change in climate is one of the main factors that affect the individual who suffer from this disease. The individual cannot withstand any kind of wind or extreme temperature. Consumption of spicy food, alcohol, caffeine may worsen the present condition of the person.

Also, the redness might get extended to other parts of the body such as the chest, the nose and in most of the cases; the nose may also seem swollen. Rosacea develops in three stages and the first stage includes flushing or otherwise called redness.

This lasts for a few hours or even days. The second stage of this disease includes the development of the papules and pustules. This stage might last for weeks and there is a tendency for it to send to other parts of the body also. The last stage consists of the most severe conditions and this is also called untreated rosacea. This may lead to large nodules and it occurs mostly on the cheeks and rhinophyma. Rosacea symptoms vary from one individual to another.
