Solutions for Damaged Hair
Damaged hair usually lacks sheen and has a dull appearance. It has either frizzy ends or tends to develop split ends. The mane is likely to look lumpy and scattered. No matter how many deep conditioning treatments you undergo, nothing can replace nature’s care.
There are many naturally found substances that can nourish your hair and hydrate them effectively. Some substances that can soften your hair are mayonnaise and honey. Damaged hair requires intense care, so choose dense and nourishing products.
Mayonnaise is an excellent frizz-buster. Take any quantity of mayonnaise depending upon the length of your hair. If you cannot tolerate the smell of mayonnaise use some essential oils in this concoction.
Mix in around two to three drops of any essential oil to the mayonnaise and blend well. Coat your hair with this blend thoroughly from roots to ends. Wrap your head with a shower cap after the mayonnaise treatment. Then wait for at least fifteen minutes before shampooing your hair.
Honey, on other hand has a very pleasing fragrance. It has humectants that effectively hydrate and soften your hair. Thus it can treat damaged hair. It will leave your hair feeling silky soft and sweet smelling.
Take around one third cup of honey. Add to this around two tablespoons of olive or almond oil. Blend all the ingredients well. Coat your hair strands carefully with this mixture. Wrap your head with a shower cap for around thirty minutes. Let the ingredients soak into the hair and nourish it. Rinse or shampoo your hair to finish.
There is another easy way to apply honey. Puree it in a blender or food processor. This will make it smooth and eliminate all clumps. Now add any good oil or mayonnaise to it. As both the ingredients have a thick consistency, they will require adequate blending. Apply this onto your hair and leave it on for around twenty minutes.Rinse and shampoo your hair later.
For dry hair, add one egg yolk and a tablespoon of any nourishing oil to a cup of yogurt. Massage it on your scalp and hair and leave it on for around three hours to nourish your hair adequately. If your hair is thicker or coarser, you can leave it on longer. This is because such hair will require deeper penetration.
