When people begin to sweat, it is usually in certain areas like the armpits, groins and elbow joints. Sweating a way nor nature to get rid of the excess water in the body, and also to keep the body cool in hot climates. Sweating profusely can be quite embarrassing and can also give out an odor. It can cause a lot of discomfort to the person.
There are some people who not only sweat in these common areas, but can also sweat a lot on the palms and soles of the feet. This can be more bothersome than sweating in the other areas. Sweating allows the body temperature not to rise and fall in the hot weather. For those who sweat on the palms and soles, it is not because of the temperature in the outside environment, but because of emotional disturbances, nervousness in the person itself.
Sometimes, the sweat glands in some people may not function as well, especially in the hot weather, and they may not sweat in the normal places. Due to this, they will sweat more from the palms and soles since the water from the body needs to come out.
People who sweat from the palms and soles of their feet need to relax and keep their feet and hands soaked in cold water for half an hour at least two to three times a day. If the sweating persists, it is better to consult a skin specialist as the fingers can get infected with fungus which can leave dark scars on the hands and soles of the feet.
It is necessary to wash the hands with an antiseptic or medicated soap and keep the area free from dust. Wash the hands regularly, as fungus will breed in unhygienic conditions.
If you are more prone to sweating, it is necessary to drink more water and other forms of liquids, especially in the summer. Increase the intake of fruits which have a lot of water content. Applying powder on your hands could dry it up, and control some of the sweat. Wear open footwear or perforated shoes during the day and keep the feet opened at night and allow it to breathe.
