Normal Skin – How To Take Care Of Normal Skin

Normal skin type is the most desired skin type as it has even tone, smooth texture and is soft without any visible pores and greasy patches. Normal skin type has a fine textured, soft and supple surface without any flakes.

Even though normal skin type is beautiful it requires regular care to avoid the early signs of aging. The following instructions will help to take care of the normal skin.

Basic Skin Care

Clean the skin daily twice in the morning and evening with a gentle cleanser. A natural oatmeal and honey scrub can be used to cleanse the skin. Oatmeal and honey mixture can be made by boiling one teaspoon oats with half teaspoon each of milk and honey.

Apply this mixture and keep the mixture on skin for 10 minutes and wipe off with a wet cotton wool. Similarly apricot scrub or walnut scrub can also be used. It is also ideal to use a mild toner like rosewater to tone the skin. Toners help to keep the skin calm and refreshed.

Try to avoid the toners that contain alcohol as it makes the skin dry. During night apply a moisturizer after cleansing the skin and it is a good idea to have a moisturizer beneath the makeup’s as it protects the skin from the chemicals in the makeup.

During daytime apply a moisturizing sunscreen having a SPF of 15 or more to protect the skin from ultraviolet rays. Besides these daily routine exfoliate the skin once in a week and apply a face pack. Face pack can be made at home by combining one teaspoon sandalwood powder and one teaspoon fuller’s earth with half teaspoon each of milk cream, honey and rose water.

Apply the face pack on the face and leave it for 10 minutes and then wipe off the pack with a cotton wool dabbed in rosewater. Thereafter wash off the face and pat dry. Exfoliation and face packing helps to maintain the skin pores tight and clean without any clogs.

Moreover it improves the blood circulation to the skin and nourishes the skin. Essential oils that are used to nourish the normal skin includes chamomile oil, fennel oil, geranium oil, lavender oil, lemon oil, patchouli oil, rose oil and sandalwood oil which can be applied on the skin daily.

Apart from moisturizing the skin from outside, try to moisturize it from inside also by drinking at least 10 to 12 glasses of water per day. This also helps to remove the unwanted toxic substances from the body. Also include as much as fruits and fresh leafy vegetables in the diet in the form of salads.
