Keep Anxiety Away For Healthy Skin
There exists an association between anxiety and skin problems. Anxiety causes many physiological reactions in body that negatively affect skin. Pale skin, perspiration, rashes, itchy skin, eczema, acne, psoriasis, aging etc. eventually catches stressed or anxious body. If one is already having skin problem then anxiety worsens the problem. Acne
Anxiety causes release of a hormone called cortisol that is responsible for excessive oil production, giving rise to acne.
Aging
Being anxious for too long accelerate natural aging process due to hormonal and neural imbalance in body. Body’s hormone secreting glands, cell repair and collagen in skin and connecting tissues are badly affected by anxiety.
Itchy Skin and Rashes
Due to anxiety neuripeptides biochemicals are released from nerve endings in the skin causing irritation and rashes on the skin.
Pale or Red Skin
Under anxiety blood vessels become more reactive. Either they shrink so skin looks pale or open widely so skin is red.
Eczema, Psoriases
Although anxiety is not the direct cause of these problems but flare them up. Eczema, psoriasis and acne all pierce the skin making little wounds in the skin that invite infection causing microorganisms and hence worsen the problems.
Anxiety is a disorder that causes nervousness, fear or unease, about an uncertain outcome of an event or unreal situations. This disorder completely changes the personality if it is severe.
Effects of anxiety are very serious on one’s daily life. Every one of us gets anxious sometimes that is not a disorder but when it invade in life without real threat and anxiousness goes on even after the situation has past, it becomes a disorder. Thus controlling stress is very necessary.
How To Keep Anxiety Away
1 ) Meditation and exercise are very helpful in keeping mind and body relaxed. So it’s better to meditate and do exercise daily.
2 ) Therapies like acupuncture, psychotherapy, and massage, relax the body thus decrease the stress.
3 ) Take healthy diet. Avoid alcohol, smoking and junk food.
4 ) Take sound sleep. At least 8 hours sleep is necessary for healthy mind and body.
5 ) Whenever you feel under stress, take deep breathing and calm down yourself.
6 ) Don’t think negative, be positive, be optimist. Keep control over your thoughts as anxiety grasp you more when you lose control over your thoughts and be optimistic.
7 ) It’s good to do hard work but take out time for self from busy schedule. Give time to your hobbies and interests.
8 ) Develop discipline inside yourself as it will make you to complete work before deadline. Thus saving from stress.
