Jojoba Oil – An Excellent Oil for Skin Care
Jojoba plant is botanically known as Simmondsia chinensis. This plant produces a bean pod which on heating produces oil. Jojoba oil is found to have amazing skin care properties. Jojoba oil is actually a wax that remains in liquid state at room temperature. It has a chemical composition equivalent to the sebum produced by the sebaceous glands of the skin.
Benefits of Jojoba Oil:
Jojoba oil gets absorbed by the skin easily and it balances the sebum level of the skin. Jojoba oil is hypoallergenic and hence it is ideal for those having sensitive skin, eczema, psoriasis etc.
It also aids in cleaning the clogged pores on the skin surface and keeps the pores open and functional. It also encourages the growth of new cells on the skin. Apart from this it has anti-bacterial and anti inflammatory properties also.

Mix ¾ cups of jojoba oil with half teaspoon of lavender oil, half teaspoon of rose oil and half teaspoon of geranium oil. Combine these oils and apply on the clean skin. This helps to unclog the closed pores and thus helps to get rid of the dirt and toxins from the skin.
Jojoba Oil for Hair:
Massage the scalp with jojoba oil for 15 minutes and then remove it with shampoo and conditioner. It is also ideal to add two drops of this oil to the shampoo. Continuous use of this oil is ideal for healthy hair and scalp.
