Ringworm, also known as “tinea”, can be misunderstood as a worm but actually it is an infection caused by fungus that grows over the scalp, skin, feet or even nails. A ringworm infection can be highly contagious and there are a lot of stimuli in our environment that can trigger this infection.

These include stimuli such as pools, combs or unwashed clothes. The infection can also be transferred to human beings from their pets, in case they’re carrying the fungus. However, the ringworm is preventable, treatable and quite harmless. If you get ringworm infection, you can easily treat them using home remedies.

Raw Papaya:

Raw Papaya can do wonders for ringworms. You just need to peel and slice papaya and rub it over the infected area. Following the same procedure at least 3 to 4 times a day will help you get rid of the infection completely. Alternatively, you can also grind and make a paste of dried papaya seeds and apply it over the ringworm infection.

Spinach and Vegetable Juice:

Any vegetable juice (in small quantities) can be mixed with spinach juice and applied over ringworm infection topically. Carrot and spinach juice serves as the best treatment. For making spinach juice, you need to boil fresh spinach in water. Separate the water and allow it to cool. You can now mix any vegetable juice with it and apply it over the infection.

Tea Tree Oil:

Tea tree oil can be easily found in a local drugstore, or natural herb store. You simply have to apply tea tree oil over the ringworm infection and leave it over the area for at least 30 minutes. Wash this area with lukewarm water and continue to do the same 2 to 3 times a day until two weeks.

Mustard Seed:

Mustard seeds can be grinded along with water to make a fine paste. Wash your hands with warm or hot water and then apply the paste over the affected area. You must completely allow the paste to dry before washing it with cool water and then pat dry using a soft towel. If you follow the same procedure everyday, you will soon see the ringworm completely disappear.
