Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxyl acid made from sugar canes that is about to ripe or from grapes. It is water soluble, odorless, colorless and crystalline substance that has is in hygroscopic nature. As glycolic acid is a natural product and contains low percentage of alpha hydroxyl acid in it, it is safe for daily usage.

Because of its miraculous effects on the skin it is now widely accepted as a skincare product. Many manufactures have now included glycolic acid in their cosmetic products and one such product is the facial cleanser.
