When the skin is exposed to sun for longer time it stimulates the melanin and thus the skin looks darker. To get rid of the tan the only option is to exfoliate. We have a natural process of exfoliation but this can be slower. So to get rid of the tan you need to increase the rate of exfoliation.
Take warm baths and scrub your skin. You can also apply yogurt and gram flour. Apply this pack for around 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse with warm water. You can also apply raw potato juice, cucumber juice or tomato juice. Lemons are also excellent exfoliates. Use aloe vera gels twice, it will also help to get rid of the tans quickly.
You can also use the exfoliating lotion readily available in the market. These lotions mainly have AHA (Alpha Hydroxy acids) and BHA (Beta Hydroxy acids). These again increase the exfoliation rate. If you are still very anxious, you can also use hydrogen peroxide. Take a cotton ball dab the liquid on the effected area.
When you are using the above methods, please make sure to protect your skin properly. Since when we are exfoliating the skin, we are actually removing the dead skin which will make the skin sensitive and dry. It’s a good idea to stay indoor; if you have to go out use sunscreen or sun block, the more the merrier. Use a hat if necessary.
Try to cover your hands and legs with appropriate clothing’s. If you have to move out in the sun almost frequently then apply the sun block whenever you are going outside. You can wash it off after coming back but for now your main agenda will be saving your skin from the sun. Always use plenty of moisturizer, drink at least two liters of water.
With time tan will fade away, so be patient. You can speed up the process but it will not go in an instant. So till the time why don’t you enjoy that tan after all there are many people who spend several dollars to get that invaluable tan.
