Fungal rash is a very common skin problem. The infection usually occurs due to sweat, perspiration and moisture left on the skin and action of fungal spores on them.

One feels itchy but in worse condition burning sensation starts. Ordinary treatment with the help of normal antibiotic or antiseptic creams cannot cure fungal infection. They need special treatment. Rashes are red and brown and the bleeding starts when the thing gets worse.

To stay away from fungal infection a few simple steps can prove helpful.  Bathe daily using any mild soap to remove dirt and oil from your body. But be sure that you have washed off the last trace of soap from your body. Otherwise there is a chance of getting infected from it.

Wipe your body well and be sure to dry up totally. Water stored between toes and fingers may cause infection. Whenever you are using towel or soft cloth for wiping be sure that it is clean and dry. After wiping your body dry your towel well otherwise wet towel may give birth to fungus.

Avoid tight shoes and undergarments if you are the resident of hot and humid area or during summer. Tight shoes and garments hinders proper air circulation in your body and let sweat accumulate there where fungal infection usually starts.

Wherever possible avoid using fully covered shoes in hot and humid atmosphere. Expose your feet as much as possible to open air. But whenever you are going to public dressing room or swimming pool or showers do not go there on bare foot. Use plastic sandals for the protection of your feet.

If possible, change your clothes whenever it gets wet with sweat or you have finished work. Do not share towels with others. Try to wear cotton garments and change them everyday. Use under garments and workout clothes made of full cotton. Wash your sports shoes at least once a week.

If you are already a fungal infection patient, wash your clothes after use with hot water and soak them in antiseptic or anti-fungal solutions before drying them completely. Use anti-fungal powder, cream or spray three times a day till the rashes are gone. But if the situation gets complicated do not forget to visit your doctor or a dermatologist.
