Folliculitis is a disease that occurs due to bacterial infection of the hair follicles. It can happen to any people at any age. There are some antibiotic lotions that can help you to heal the problem permanently. Collect some antibiotic lotions and creams and apply them on your infected hair as they help to kill the germs and reduce the problem fast. You should use an antibacterial soap daily to clean the affected area. You should also wash your hand with an antibacterial soap before you eat anything. If you have the disease on your scalp or beard, you can use shampoo that contains selenium, propylene or glycol as these ingredients can reduce the infection. Keep in your mind that you should not share your lotions, creams, soaps and shampoos with others.

White vinegar is a well-known home solution for folliculitis treatment. Take 2 tbsp of white vinegar and around 2.5 cups of fresh water and mix it firmly. Then apply this solution on your hair follicle and root area and leave it for 20 minutes, followed by washing it with lukewarm water. You should bathe with antibacterial soap daily and use cleanly washed clothes and towel while you bathe. Nevertheless, do not share the towel or clothes with other persons as they can get the infection from you.

You can wet a fresh cloth or a clean piece of gauge into fresh warm water and apply this warm compress on your infected area for 7 to 15 minutes. Apply this for 4 to 6 times every day as it can stop the problem.

While suffering from this condition you should avoid any cuts or bruises. It is better to stop shaving. If you must shave, use an electric shaver instead of regular ones, but very carefully. You can use a depilatory cream and lotion as a replacement of a shaver as it can clean the hair gently. However, do not use it more than one or two times in a week.

Drink plenty of water and include a lot of garlic in your daily diet as it has the property to fight against the bacterial infections. Try to avoid the use of poor oily creams and cosmetics. You should also avoid wearing the tight-fitting clothes. Do not scratch the infected area with your fingernails as it can spread the infections to other areas of your body or to other people.
