Do’s

Wash your face with mild, non alkaline soap or cleanser twice or thrice a day. If you have used makeup throughout the day, clean your face with a cleanser that suits your skin at night. While choosing cosmetics, test a new product to make sure it does not enhance acne by reacting negatively.

Do not forget to check the composition. Using herbal products which hardly have side effects will be a better choice. Use water based make-ups. Heavy make-up adds to acne problem. So, do light make-up.

Alcohol based astringents and face mask should be avoided completely, as they can irritate and promote acne infection. Taking antioxidant and vitamins regularly will not only improve your immune system, they will help to fight bacteria that cause acne by making your body healthy.

To prevent acne, take care of your diet. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables, it will promote healthy skin and improve overall health. Drinking lot of water is also necessary to flush out your system and get healthy skin.
