Causes of Rash Under the Breasts
Women with larger breast seem to suffer the severe problem of rashes under their breast. It is because larger part of their skin is covered below the breast skin fold. It can be very irritating especially when it develops continually. Even some smaller breasts may also lie on the chest due to age or changes in breast from pregnancy. These rashes are very difficult to clear up as bust area tends to get very little airflow which creates moist environment. This is the only reason for fungal infection to develop.

Following are the causes of rash under the breast:
Sweating can also be the cause of rash under the breast. It gets trapped under the breast and causes itching. It happens mostly in summer days. Due to humidity in summer days or humid climates, perspiration increases the rashes under the breast. It is red in appearance, sore and sometimes itchy. The skin becomes raw under the breast fold. It could also extend as far as the armpit or under arm area. Sweat contributes to the growth of bacteria resulting into a rash under the breast.
Fabrics may also cause allergies which can develop rash due to their reactions with the skin. Some people are allergic to acrylic and polyester. Many of them are sensitive to even pesticides and chemicals that are used for the manufacturing process of clothes. Don’t wear clothes that contain blended fabrics. Always wear fully cotton clothes and under garments.
Improper Bras may also be the culprit behind the formation of rashes under the breast. Some under wire bras can cause moist environment between the breast and chest if it is not of proper size. Either it is too tight or too loose. It prevents the skin from breathing which can cause under wire to rub against the chest developing the rash under the breast. You must always go for professional bra fitting that can suggest you right type of bra and its right size. These types of bras are very popular for support and covering but they are best only if they fit you properly.
