Atopic Dermatitis
Atopic dermatitis better known as atopic skin disease is a form of eczema that includes symptoms of scaling, itching and redness on skin.
According to American Academy of dermatology, atopic dermatitis is the most common type of eczema and about 15 to 20% of Americans develop the skin disease and some on the other point in their lives. This common skin ailment is pruritic and inflammatory in nature.

Other factors that cause skin dryness include winter climates, excessive washing, low humidity, soaps and antiseptics, swimming pool chlorine and high temperatures.
Presence of irritants in our environments also exacerbates atopic dermatitis. Fragrances, makeup, wool and strong laundry detergents are some irritants that may affect your skin.
Common ailments like hay fever and asthma also causes this disease. In fact, people who once suffering from these illnesses are prone to get atopic dermatitis.
