Aloe Vera has been since centuries considered as a wonder plant. It is extremely useful especially in treating various skin related problems. There are numerous ways in which Aloe Vera can be used.

Aloe Vera is a great balm on dry and itchy skin. It immediately soothes the skin when applied on sun burns. A small piece of the leaf should be cut and opened to expose the gel inside. This gel should be gently rubbed on the area to be treated. It can also be applied on wounds that require healing.

Wounds like cuts, burns, accident injuries can be wound with a medical tape after application of Aloe gel. Alternatively you can also tie the leaf (with the gel exposed) on the wound for faster healing.

Insect bites can be very itchy. However, Aloe Vera gel application straight from the leaf can greatly reduce the itch making you comfortable.

An allergic reaction to a new product can be cured by application of Aloe Vera. By simply using the gel twice on the area you can get rid of the allergy and rashes.

Aloe Vera is great on dry skin. Instead of your regular moisturizer use the gel from Aloe Vera plant to hydrate your skin. It will leave your skin feeling soft and supple and will make your skin healthy.

Rub some Aloe Vera gel straight on the warts. Regular rubbing will make them fall without leaving a scar.

Regular application of Aloe Vera on the face helps reduce signs of aging. It greatly diminishes wrinkles and brown smarts giving your skin a younger and healthier appearance.

Rubbing Aloe Vera leaf on the hair can help get rid of dry flaky skin on the head. This dry skin is the main cause of dandruff.

Aloe Vera when applied on the foot helps with blisters and Athlete’s foot.

When mixed with face masks the gel from Aloe Vera helps smoothen and sooth the skin.

You can get Aloe Vera plant from any nursery. Aloe Vera should be planted in a pot that will not inhibit its growth. Place the pot in a sunny corner of the room and do not water frequently. The leaf of Aloe Vera should be cut from the base. The leaf that will grow again from the base will be of better quality. You can also store the leaf in refrigerator by packing it in a plastic sheet.
