Washing your face at least twice using a good non-comedogenic cleanser is advisable. Non-comedogenic face wash will not promote comedones which are better known as blackheads. While washing your face with the same in evening, mix a teaspoon of sugar in the facial cleanser.

This will exfoliate your skin and remove excess oil. Make sure that you use gentle and circular motions by your exfoliating your face. Unnecessary roughness can cause the skin to inflame and in turn worsen the acne flareup. If your skin is oily, you can keep washing it several times in a day with lukewarm water.

Moisturizing is an important step to do away with acne. Dry skin can lead to acne flare-ups. For moisturizing acne skin, you must find a water-based moisturizer.

If you are a bit unsure that it is a water-based moisturizer then dilute the moisturizer in a bit of water. You have to take some moisturizer on your palm and put few drop of water in order to make it thinner. You will find that this moisturizer is quite light.

Acne can flareup because of a number of reasons. Therefore it is important that you limit use of various facial products like makeup, concealer etc. It is important that you let your skin breathe. If you were foundations and makeup, make sure that you wash them of before you go to sleep.

People who have acne problem must keep their body clean. Acne can develop over several areas of the body and often it is cystic. Taking a relaxing bath before you go to sleep can be quite helpful.

You can also add a cup of Epsom salts in your daily bathing water. The Epsom salt will help him drawing of the toxin from your body and reducing inflammation. Stress also leads to acne and therefore a relaxing bath before you go to sleep can be quite de-stressing.
